Animelo 2009 – Day 2
by soulfringe on Mar.09, 2010, under Concerts, Idols, Japan, Music, Otaku Life, Uncategorized
Yo ! Back for my look at day 2 of Animelo 2009. So just how do you follow up with a awesome day 1, by having a FREAKING AWESOME day 2.
Day 2 kicks off into a super awesome fanfare. A Hirano Aya and Mizuki Nana combo attack. Lately I have not been a big fan of Aya. I am not sure why. I still love her seiyu work, but there is just something that has kind of irritated me about her. (irritated is actually far too strong of a word, but I can’t think of a better term) I have no idea what and why either. What ever the case though, there is something awesome about seeing Nana-chan and Aya performing on stage together, and not just because Nana-chan is on stage. I think Nana and Aya have really awesome chemistry and charisma together, even though Nana chan totally destroys Aya when it comes down to belting out a tune. (but that is probably just my biased opinion as a mizuki nana fanboy). The two of them meld very well together…. hrmmm….. oh sorry. My my thoughts were going someplace indecent.

Yousei Teikoku – OHEMGEEEEE ! I totally had never heard of this group. Now that I have, I am in love. In fact, I dare say, Nana chan may now have another competent rival for my affection (the other being May’n). Blasphemy I know, but what can I say, Yousei Teikoku Yui has opened my heart to fairys =p She is incredibly, stunningly beautiful with a voice that matches. I feel the need find myself a massive wallscroll or poster. Between her songs, her crowd interaction was fun to watch. I would have expected a very serious, intimidating aura from her, but it was quite the opposite. She has an air of nobility in the way she presents herself, but has a sense of humor that keeps the crowd laughing (although I only understood a very small minimal amount of what she was saying). There was also another instance of her awesomeness at the end of day 2, but I’ll save that bit for the end of this article. =D
Yousei Teikoku @ Animelo 2009
Following Yousei Teikoku came one of the performances I most wanted to see when I saw the list of performers last summer. Kenji Ohtsuki & Zetsubou Shoujo Tachi. Unfortunately, that anticipation was sadly misplaced. Terrible performance. Well not too bad on Ohtsuki’s part. But the Zetsubou Shoujo Tachi was terrible. I WAS IN DESPAIR ! And let me be specific as to why. The Shouko Tachi tried to be too metal. They were looking awesome cute. But the likes of Koboyashi Yu and Marina Inoue tried to be too metal, so to speak. Nonaka Ai and Shintani Ryoko weren’t bad though. It’s just that trying to act metal is just too… ugh. Just see for yourself I suppose. It just doesn’t work for them. They deviated too far from the characters they are suppose to portray imo.
Fiction Junction – OUTSTANDING performance here. If I was a ship at sea, I would crash upon the reefs at shore. Or something like that. Why ? SIRENS! Totally lured in by the sounds of their song. Their performance of “nowhere”, an insert song from noi… er I mean Madlax, was fantastic.
Tomoe Ohmi - WHO IS THIS GIRL !? She opened up with an incredibly beautiful performance of of the Solty Rei ending “Return to Love”. It was phenomenally beautiful. She is such a cutey too. Her laugh is even cuter. Seems she is actually pretty new in the industry. I have high hopes to see more of her in the future and see her career take off. She is very talented. She shows some of that talent at the very end of the concert.
After “Return to love”, Savage Genius joined Ohmi on stage for a Duet. Pandora Hearts ending, “Maze”. They made a very good combo. In fact, such a good combo. A lot of the collaborations so far in Animelo have been pretty awesome to see. But this one just felt… right. Like they were made for each other. Although I would have liked to see Ohmi as more than just a backing vocalist on this. Her backing vocals were so strong, I would hardly consider them backing.
Faylan – What a gorgeous babe ! What a ROCKING gorgeous babe. Her performance was pretty rocking (redundant much?). She was the other lucky girl this animelo to do a duet with Masami Okui, performing the Eva Death and Rebirth theme song.
Masumi Okui stayed on stage after faylan left, to perform a solo performance ! I think this gives her more stage time than any other performer at Animelo 2009. I picked something up about her from this animelo too. I know Kikuko Inoue is sometimes called Onee-chan. But when it comes to being a big sister, Okui demonstrated her big sister ability numerous times. Since Ichiro is Aniki, I am thinking Okui should become “Ane”. She is just sooo… FUN. She supports and teases all the other young idols (specifically Ohmi!), in that typical older sister style. You should see how she put Ohmi on the spot when everyone was on stage together.
Suara – GET ALL THE FREE AND DREAM ? IT DOESNT HAVE TO MAKE SENSE ! I can’t even tell you how many times I have rewatched the Tears to Tiara opening because of that song. I also did the same for Utawaremono, another opening she did. I freaking love suara ! I think I have a thing for deep voice idols…. =D
Psychic Lover – Lost in Space. umm yea. Same deal as with Suara. I watched the ending of tytania like a few hundred times because I dug this tune. Awesome to see these dudes love.
m.o.v.e ummm yea. Is there anyone in the world with more energy than Motsu ? I can’t think of anyone. seriously. Does he do meth ? And Yuri. wow. She looked sooooooo hot in that Kimono/Yukata she was wearing. Well she always looks hot. If she were a president, she would be Baberham Lincoln. The amount of stage presnce by this group is as Vegeta would say, “OVER NINE THOUSAND”
ichi, ni, san, shi, go, roku..
NANA! And what a flashy way to come out on stage. Motsu is out on stage, revving up the crowd and then 3… 2… 1….. A pumped up Mizuki Nana-chan appears !! She is joined by Suara on her 2nd song as they do a song from White Album ( I only watched the first episode of this, was this anime any good?). One such song she sang was “Etsuraku Camellia”, one of my favorites. Her voice is just so damned sexy and seductive on this song. I think it really puts an emphasis on that deep tone of hers that appeals to me so much.

After Nana chan – It’s time for the mass off performers to all perform together and do some introduction stuff. These introductions really ended up making a huge impression on me, thanks to Ohmi and Yui-sama. I wish I could video edit worth a damn so I could post some videos. I will have to work on this, because just talking about it, doesn’t do justice. But, her is the breakdown. Okui threw Ohmi under the buss, so to speak, and made her do her impression of Aya chan. It was perfect !!! Aya and Nana were giggling together =D Kawaiii. Then right after Ohmi, Yui-sama went and did her introduction. Well she spoke about as graceful as I do. Translation, she stuttered up on a tongue twister and her reaction to it further fueled the fire of laughter. A few other performers, specifically Kageyama (JAM Project) was literally rolling on the floor laughing. He then proceeded to tease her a little bit, to which she retorted back. I have no idea what she said, but apparently it was pretty awesome from everyones reaction. (again, my japanese is VERY limited)
Anyways, I suppose that will do it for my review on on Animelo 2009. I suppose If I magically learn how to edit videos without sucking hard at it, I will do so and add some better clips. But I wouldn’t count on it with my homework load. (which I should be doing some math right now. But you know, priorities =p )
One final note regarding animelo. Some of the performers for 2010 have been announced. May’n and Nana both on day 2. ( I am being overly optimistic in hoping for a duet. It likely won’t be so. But should it be so, the world will implode as my head goes into a nuclear meltdown from the shear awesomeness)
*UPDATE* I didn’t notice this until now, when I was looking up some stuff. Regarding the relationship of Ohmi and Okui, it would seem as though Okui has written quite a number of songs recorded by Ohmi. I also didn’t know that Masami played such a big part in Animelo. Well I knew she was a big part of it as a performer… but I didn’t know she was the freaking producer.
Animelo 2009 – Day 1
by soulfringe on Mar.06, 2010, under Anime, Concerts, Idols, Japan, Music, Otaku Life, Uncategorized

Last week the animelo 2009 DVD was released. I was fortunate enough to come across a 10gb encode of it. And as you might expect, I have watched the heck out of it !!
First off, let me say that this Animelo was not as awesome as some previous Animelo’s. At least in my opinion. Does this mean this animelo was not awesome ? Well I won’t go so far as to say that. There was definitely some disappointment, but many of the performances were outstanding. I have also been pulled in fandom of some new idols and groups, such as Fiction Junction.
Day 1 of the concert kicked off with Angelo and Chiaki Ishikawa performing the classic “Zankoku na Tenshi no These” (Cruel Angles Thesis). The opening lines were a little awkward as I thought their voices kind of clashed, but once the song got into gear, it was an awesome performance. And let’s face it though, this song is so epic and nostalgic, that I am thinking every animelo should open with it ! Well should be considered as there a few other songs that I think are a perfect opener for this Otaku Concert ! (for example the infamous Sakura Saku)
Or how about this other epic song – “My Pace”. This was another song that was performed on Day 1 by Manzo (accompanied by Halko Momoi, who was more like a cheerleader. AYE! AYE! ! ! ) I don’t know if I am alone in thinking this, and I am sure that I am not, I feel like this song is the National Anthem for Otaku thanks to Genshiken. I hear it and instantly think of genshiken, which makes me think of the Otaku Life.
And when you think Otaku Life, you have to think of Hakane Mitsu. She is practically our mascot ! It was very… different, to see a live performance from someone who doesn’t even actually exist !
After her performance came one of my Favorites of the whole venue. It was a very simple performance and basic performance with no glam or flashyness to it. Beat Mario and Cool &Create. They pulled out a little touhou song… “Help me, ERINNNNNN!”. I think what makes this such an awesome performance, is that the song is just awesome fun. Even sitting at home in a computer chair watching the performance on my computer, got me swinging my arm to the Erinnnn. ERINNNNN ERINNNNNN !!! If you don’t already do this when you hear the song, do it. It makes it so much more enjoyable. Bonus points of fun are awarded if you do it in a public setting.
Horie Yui came up shortly after beatmario. I swear to god she is a vampire or something. In fact, I am beginning to think all female J pop idols and seiyu are. I swear to god they don’t age. People may think the little group she is in with Kikuko Inoue is just a joke. But I think maybe they really are eternally 17 years old.

Some couple performances after Horie Yui, came one of the 2 performers I look forward to seeing most. My hero of day 1. May’n !!! ♥May’n. It’s no secret, I’m sure. Her opening performance really captivated me. I think primarily because she was singing something other than a Macross F song !!! She belted out the opening theme for Shangri La (which I enjoyed. Though I still have to finish it…. like so many other flicks). One thing I thought unusual about her performance though, is her wardrobe. While May’n was wearing the usual shorts, her outfit was super casual. It looked like she was going to the gym, or just a rehearsal/practice. Not the usual super fashionable sense she is usually seen on stage with. But she doesn’t need to wear anything fancy to blow people out of the water when performing. Hell she could wear nothing and be just as effective….. wait. thats not supposed to be perveted. I SWEAR! Well maybe just a little. But seriously, when it comes to belting out lyrics, I can’t think of anyone more passionate than her. Just listen to her sing the next song she performed, Diamond Crevasse, you hear it in her voice and see it on her face. She really captures the emotion in the song and transfers it to us fans !
And just when I think I couldn’t be blown away anymore than already am, out comes JAM Projects, Masami Okui. She is a incredible vocal power house. This gives May’n a duet with 2 JAM Poject members under her belt, to my knowledge anyways. (the other is my Hero, Yoshiki Fukuyama-Sama) They performed a song from something I am unfamiliar with, Ontama. This is something I definitely intend to check out.
Ali Project -> Rising from the floor of the staged emerged Arika Takarano looking like she was trying out for the role of Ultimecia (FFXIII villain). Her outfit was amazing. Lady Gaga wishes she could be half as awesome as what she was wearing.
Minori Chihara followed Ali Project. I admit, I am not to familiar with her work, except that she voiced the ever popular Chiaki from Minami Kei. But one thing was evident. The Japanese crowed freaking loves her. They were pretty pumped to see her. I was pretty pumped to see her as well. She is definitely a bijin. Seeing her and seeing the reactions of the crowd, this is one idol I am going to be checking out. She is very engaging, and seriously, that crowd. She had them going!! But I guess technically, pretty much everyone has them going… but whatever. She closed out her performance with “Paradise Lost” (Gai-rei zero op). She definitely put the best for lost. This was perhaps the most engaging of her performances imo.

ENTER JAM Project ! What’s cooler than seeing 5 middle aged performers lined up in military fashion clothed in long black leather/vinyl trenchcoats – 5 middle aged performers lined up in military fashion clothed in long black leater/vinyl trenchcoats rocking your pants off. I will never forget that opening shout. COCK ROCK HOOOOOOOO !!! I mean seriously, they freaking put the JAM in JAM Project. POOOOOOWERRRRRRR! Jam Project is just too awesome, seriously. It’s kind of unfair to take a group of some of the most influential and popular musicians/singers in the industry and slap them into 1 super group. I kind of miss seeing Aniki though.
Day 1 wraps up with a collaboration of all of the days performers. Quite the sight to behold. In between encore performances, everyone did a self introduction and finished off with 1 more impressive super collaboration song. During this part of the concert btw, Jam project’s Okui and Kageyama pretty much MC’d. At the very end the 2 also introduced the core of what I would call the “house” band members. Kegeyama refered to the guitarist as an old man. That seemed so wrong coming from a man who is pushing 50 himself. Anyways this brought an end to the day 1 festivities.
I’ll be back to talk about day 2 soon. Look forward to it, especially since that was my favorite day of performances! (that might have a lot to do with Nana-chan though !)
ps. Why is Halko Momoi so god damned popular ? She doesn’t strike me as super amazing. But she seems to have a huge cult following/fanfare.
2010: The end of an era ?
by soulfringe on Feb.25, 2010, under Uncategorized
I recently brought this up with a friend of mine, but things are not looking to bright for my inner fanboy this year. After taking a look at some of the cast lists for upcoming spring animes and taking into account the 2010 winter anime season, I notice a very distinct lack in something. MY FAVORITE SEIYUUS !
I have found very little to none casting roles for Nana Mizuki, Mamiko Noto , Horie Yui, Aya Hirano .( I also haven’t seen much confirmed for Kugimiya, but she does have quite a bit of ongoing rolls, ala Gintama and Fairy Tail) Granted its not like all the spring cast lists are out, and there is still summer and fall, so we shouldn’t be worried. But I feel obligated to be a doomsayer, as this is the interwebz. (And I am in desperate need of nana roles!) One of the things to note though too, is someone like Nana Mizuki is entirely too busy with non anime Idol stuffs, like concerts and doing new albums.
On a totally awesome seiyuu note though, Kikuko Inoue is reprising her roll as Hakfu’s mother, Goei, in the new Ikkitousen anime in a few weeks, and Maaya Sakamoto is going to be the voice of the female protagonist, Nino, in the anime Arakawa under the bridge (the spring series I have been looking forward to). Only see but a handful of roles voiced by these 2 these days, so this is quite the treat in my eyes. Or should I say ears ? What ever the case, I am looking forward to it.
Hopefully one of the spring flicks that haven’t confirmed a casting list yet have some Nana and/or Mamiko.
2009, the end of a decade.

Christ almighty, this means I am having a 10 year high school reunion this summer. ALREADY!? My how time flies when you lock yourself up in a room indulging in large amounts of anime and video games.
So 2009, not the greatest of years for anime. It’s been said that the anime bubble is bursting. ADV has been split apart into smaller branches, or something like that anyways. I also recall Gonzo having to cut back the amount of animes they intended to make this year. The funny thing about this though, is that anime studios/companies are begging to evolve into internet media. They are finally making money of people downloading their goods. To top that off, I have noticed a trend in the marketing of DVD’s. At least for us US folks. About 6 years ago, I was dropping down about $25-$30 for 4-5 episode dvd’s of Noir. This was pretty much the standard for an anime dvd. This isn’t the case anymore. I recently went “window shopping” at rightstuf.com, It’s so tempting to go crazy with my credit card because of the great deals. Mostly it’s funimation though. Just to give a prime example BRAND new release of the complete Spice and Wolf season 1 (13 episodes), $36. And this release is about a week old. New Release prices used to be highway robbery. I guess it’s out poor economy that we can thank though. People are making great strides to be recession friendly. I remember when I used to hate funi, now I actually like what they are doing. Low cost dvds with large cost amount of episodes , Online stream simulcasts (+non simulcast), they also have a Cable On-Demand channel. Hrmm.. think I shifted topic a bit. I was talking about the anime bubble bursting, yet I am going into detail about how good things are getting for us fans. Meh.
Well to get a little more on about the anime bubble bursting… what happened to all the good anime ? 2009 was a terrible year if you wanted anything good. Most of the year series were rather mediocre. I’m not saying it was terrible, but there wasn’t to much of anything that I would consider great. Higashi no Eden is supposedly awesome, though I myself only watched a few episodes. Bakemonogatari is awesome. Everyone loves K-on. Actually not really. I know a lot of people who cant stand moe stuff anymore, but whatever. There’s also a couple others that I have heard are awesome too, but I just haven’t made the effort to check them out. Maybe this will be part of my new years resolution. Watch more anime. I didn’t do nearly as much as I used to this past year. I blame WoW and school. Mostly WoW. Looking at the upcoming anime season though, I can say I am not to enthusiastic about what the future holds for us. I have my eye on Katanagatari and Durarara. Maybe the vampire loli one too, but when I see stuff about vampires (and werewolves) I want to punch things. The way I feel about vampires, is the same way some of those people who can’t stand moe feel. The damn genre is so cliche and repugnant. Black Blood, Karin, Rosario, Kaibustu Oujo, Blood+, Trinity Blood, that one crappy Shoujo one with a dude named “Zero”…… someone really just needs to put an end to this. Make an anime about Frankenstein or a Mummy, or really anything, just something non vampire. (or werewolf). Keep that Twilight Saga crap out of my cartoons. (yea, I went there.) ps. Horo does not count as a werewolf.
The prior paragraphs were written at the start of January. I mean’t to finish this post, but as one of my teachers say, Life happens. I forgot where I was really going with this post. I know I wanted to talk about my favorite animes of the decade. But there were just so many of them. Maybe I will get into it another time, until then though I am going to post this just because it’s long overdue !!
oh and ps. Durara is pretty good, and <3 Katanagatari. And school is super busy. Who woulda thought college would be so much work ….
Back in the saddle
by soulfringe on Jan.02, 2010, under Uncategorized
Blog is back up as you might see, through a subdomain. Should only be a temporary fix until I know what the heck I am actually doing.
Somethings did not come with my back up import though. Namely images I was hosting on my website. A lesson learned on why I shouldn’t have stopped using flickr.
Second item, some of my “pages” were lost. Third, I have to replace those google adds, amazon affiliate links, and my rightstuff links. Not like I have actually gotten money from those though. So no big loss there.
But what has me really hurt though, I’s my blogroll is gone. Sure, adding the images back to my posts is going to be A LOT of work, but losing my blogroll links is like… losing friends !!! SOB SOB SOB. So to my fellow otaku bloggers who visit me, drop me a link to your blog so I can add. Otherwise I am just going to be going through memory and dannychoo to find those familiar faces.
And with that said, I will end this post and begin working on the Year End Decade post I wanted to make a few days ago, because I can actually do that again. YAY!
How do you blog ?
by soulfringe on Nov.10, 2009, under Uncategorized
So I constantly neglect this blog. I always say I want to be consistent with it, make more posts, blah blah blah. One of the areas that gets in my way of blogging, aside from my World Of Warcraft and other online gaming addiction and sometimes school, is convenience.
Too many times have I been some place, like work for example, that there has been something I wanted to write about, but just do not have the means or opportunity to write then and there. I remember reading how Dannychoo would write things up on his iphone or laptop (can’t exactly remember which, but iphone seems like the more likely to me) and post them up later we he had a connection to do so, if he didn’t already. Something I could possibly do with my G1 phone, although wifi connections in my neck of the woods are few, and often encrypted, and my 3g is even more limited and actually non existent in my neighborhood (edge ftl).
So anyways, what are some of the things you as a fellow blogger do ?
Fairy Tail Disappointment
by soulfringe on Oct.18, 2009, under Anime
So I just thought I would voice my disappointment with the new Fairy Tail anime since I have yet to do so. I imagine there is a horde of others like myself that have already done so.
I was very excited for this one. Turns out I probably shouldn’t have. The animation is very bleh. The voice acting, AMAZING seiyu cast. Unfortunately, I think they were casted for the wrong rolls. (Kugimiya isn’t playing a tsundere!? Is that legal?) Maybe a part of the problem is that Fairy Tail feels so much like a One Piece clone that I feel some of the roles should be voiced to their one piece counter parts. (like Natsu-Luffy). I digress though.
Anyways, I still plan to hang with this for a bit to see if there is improvement. But I am not going to set myself up for further disappointment by getting my hopes up.
BOOBS!
by soulfringe on Oct.17, 2009, under Anime
Well I still mean to do more of an episode to episode basis of some shows, but with fall season, there is too much to check out and report on I suppose. Like I was really gonna follow through on what I say here anyways. lol. But I think most other amateur bloggers can relate. But anyways, 3 series for this post, because well, there is kind of a theme going on with these 3. I bet you can’t figure it out !!
So first on the list is Kampfer.
Not too bad a show so far (on episode 2). Well I dunno, it could be pretty mediocre actually, but there is a pretty good seiyu cast in this series. The show also goes so far as to basically brag about it in the script. Example -
Anyways, plot is boy wakes up as girl. Boy finds out he turns into a girl for some battle thing from a stuffed doll. Boy… err girl, battles other girls for some unknown reason. Boy has girl he likes. Liked girl is yuri for his secret female alter ego. Kinda basic, basically. But since Nana and Mamiko are in this one, I will add my stamp of approval.
Now we warm up with the theme a little bit with season 2 of Koihime !!!

boobs
There are better cleavage shots than this one. But Bachou is what I would consider a rarity. Anyways I wont bother with saying to much on this show. It’s just more koihime. Oh, but we now have the real Ryubi Gentoku here. She is pretty, umm… dense. Very moe, but still not at a competitive saimoe loevel.
And finally, the anime that is the best example for this theme we got going here. Season 2 of Queens Blade.

boobs
Episode 1 had a field day with the bare breastedness. Episodes 2 and 3 not as much. But they are there. anyways, I didn’t really pay much attention to anything in this show aside from boobs. I think there is some kind of fighting competition going on or something. I’m not sure. Too many distractions.
Nogizaka Haruka2, Bantora, Otoshimono
by soulfringe on Oct.07, 2009, under Uncategorized
As usual I have the obligation to review the new anime season. I plan to try and do my reviews a bit differently than I have before. I find that my system of watching a number of series and than writing about a number of them into one post to be a bit, well, less interesting than say if I were to focus on 1 series/episode and have more of a discussion about it. However I am not going to do this in this post. Hopefully this will be the last of it’s kind !
Nogizaka Haruka s2 – <3 Haruka. but anyways, it's the same thing as the first season really. We have been introduced to a new maid though, Alice. She's the loli type. The loli type who is shy. The loli type who is shy and is very violent and packs a powerful punch !!!
Book of Bantorra - Semi promising series. I am not expecting it to be great or anything like that. But I think this will be one worth watching. It's a very unique series too. Unique in the fact that it's quite random. People turn into books when they die ! wtf is that about !? Whatever though, I can dig it. It's crazy enough to get me interested. If not for this though, I am sure I probably wouldn't see the show as promising.
Sora no Otoshimono - Same old unoriginal crap. It's shows like this one that make me wonder when I will stop liking anime. I will give it a few more eps, but I find the series to be rather unappealing. This show is about as exciting and creative as a really bad naruto hentai doujin ( or other popular series) without the sex. AHHHH ! Sasuke x Naruto x Neji x Gara !!!! *gag*
Oh and I apologize about the lack of visual aid. I watched these series at Crunchyroll and have yet to devise an idea as to how to take screencaps of shows. You should watch these shows here too, if you don’t already. Help support the anime industry !
On the crunchyroll note, things are going hyperspeed there !!! They are picking up so many simulcasts! They have already announced about a dozen NEW fall season simulcast, and still announcing more. This only adds to what they already have!.
Winging it
by soulfringe on Oct.03, 2009, under Uncategorized
So this post isn’t about Gundam Wing. Although I did enjoy this one back in high school so many years ago. But here’s my story….
So last week I was a no show for my speech class ( I had my reasons!). Anyways, being a good student though, I sent an email to my teacher saying I would be absent about 2 hours before class at 6am. (Class is 8am-Noon on saturdays btw). Well some time passes, and I do not hear back from my teacher, but I find my syllabus the other day, so I knew what chapters I was expected to read this week, so I read them. However I find out we are supposed to have this storytelling assignment speech. So not knowing the details of this assignment, I am unable to do it.
Well I go into class this morning, have a word with my teacher. Turns out there is a problem with his receiving email, so he never got my email ! Anyways I let him know I don’t have this storytelling assignment, and don’t know the details as I wasn’t here the week before. Well he lets me know the speech is to read a published story to the class in a 6 minute time frame. He grants me the time in which others are doing theirs to find one for myself to do. The school library is closed. So I had a couple options, 1) the internet or 2) My Literature book which I was lucky to not have taken out of my backpack despite not having lit today. WIN!
So I picked out the least “offensive” story I could, which was James Joyce “Araby”. I fumbled pretty badly trying to read it as I stood in front of the class. I am one of those people that have problems with moving from line to line. A common problem I am sure.
Anyways I expected to get a 0 this morning, but since I was able to go in and “wing it”, I am quite sure I got a higher score than that. GO TEAM VENTURE !! (well not really a team effort here, but still felt appropriate to shout)
